The next thing you will need to do is put the lights on the tree. You should start at the top of the tree and work your way around and down to the bottom of the tree. Some people like a lot of lights so they strand a couple of light strings together to give the most illumination. The reason you work your way down to the bottom of the tree is because you need to plug the lights into a power outlet. If you end at the top you will have a hard time reaching the light strand from the top of the tree and it won’t look good swaying down to the wall either.

After you have put the lights on the tree it is time to put decorations. Many people don’t put decorations on the tree and other people are all about the décor. You have many choices when it comes to designing and making a tree look nice. You can choose from things like tinsel, garland, bulbs, and other various ornaments. There are many ways you can decorate your tree and many different things you can choose to put on it. Your children might also come home from school with ornaments they have made so they can decorate the tree too.

The top of the tree usually displays something special. Not everyone puts something on the top of the tree but the tradition is to place an angel or a star. Some people just like to place a nice looking piece that doesn’t symbolize anything.
